Part of the collection Paternal / Paternal, a collection that explores the masculine side of my family from my feminine point of view. In this case my relationship with my husband. It has two main parts that refers to two people and the connection between them. This is an embroidery made by hand and a sewing machine. Each part displays the mark of one sets of lips. The lips correspond to the movement of the mouth saying the word 'love' in Spanish, 'amor'. Each syllable of the word 'amor' is represented by a set of lips. The title of this piece is spelled phonetically as it’s pronounced in Spanish so that English speakers can pronounce it perfectly.
